กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ เป็น นิสิตปริญญาตรีสาขาเคมีที่ลงทะเบียนเรียนในรายวิชาวิจัยเพื่อการศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา มีจำนวน 52 คน โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างได้มาโดยวิธีสุ่มอย่างง่าย เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บข้อมูลได้แก่ แบบทดสอบก่อนเรียน และหลังเรียน แบบประเมินความพึงพอใจต่อผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม และแบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจที่มีต่อการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้แบบทดลอง วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ สถิติ t – test (dependent) ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และร้อยละ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ผลการเปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนของนิสิตปริญญาตรีจากการทำแบบทดสอบก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียน แสดงให้เห็นว่า เมื่อเปรียบเทียบผลคะแนนเฉลี่ยก่อน และหลังเรียน มีผลสัมฤทธิ์หลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05 แสดงให้เห็นว่าหลังจัดกิจกกรมนิสิตมีความรู้ด้านทักษะการวิจัยมากขึ้น สำหรับแบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจของผู้เรียนต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบทดลองพบว่า มีระดับความพึงพอใจในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก โดยความพึงพอใจรายด้านเรียงจากสูงสุดคือ ด้านการนำความรู้ไปใช้ และต่ำสุดคือด้านความรู้ความเข้าใจ และแบบประเมินความพึงพอใจของผู้เรียนต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบทดลองพบว่า มีระดับความพึงพอใจในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก และพบว่าความพึงพอใจรายด้านเรียงจากสูงสุดคือ ด้านกระบวนการ และต่ำสุดคือด้านปัจจัยนำเข้าและด้านผลผลิต
