เกาะเสม็ดถือว่าเป็น สวรรค์ของการพักผ่อน เลยก็ว่าได้  ทั้งๆ ที่ไม่ไกลกรุงเทพมากนัก แต่ยังคงความเป็นธรรมชาติไว้ได้เป็นอย่างดีด้วยการบริหารจัดการของเกาะไม่ให้ชาวต่างชาติเข้ามามีสัมปทานบนเกาะได้ แต่ละรีสอร์ทจึงเป็นของคนในพื้นที่จริงๆ จึงไม่ดูเป็นเกาะที่แออัดไปด้วยรีสอร์ทเยอะจนเกินไป  จึงไม่น่าแปลกใจที่เกาะเสม็ดสร้างความน่าประทับใจของผู้คนที่มาเยือนเกาะเสม็ด
