ธงชาติสิงคโปร์: เป็นธงสี่เหลี่ยมผืนผ้า กว้าง 2 ส่วน ยาว 3 ส่วน ประกอบด้วยแถบสองสีแบ่งครึ่งกลางธง แถบสีแดงอยู่ด้านบน แถบสีขาวอยู่ด้านล่าง ที่มุมธงบนด้านคันธงมีรูปพระจันทร์เสี้ยว ถัดจากรูปดังกล่าวมีรูปดาวห้าแฉก 5 ดวง เรียงเป็นรูปห้าเหลี่ยมด้านเท่า รูปเหล่านี้เป็นสีขาว ธงนี้เริ่มใช้ในปี พ.ศ.2502 ซึ่งเป็นปีที่สิงค์โปร์ได้สิทธิปกครองตนเองจากจักรวรรดิอังกฤษ และถือเป็นธงชาติของรัฐเอกราชเมื่อสิงคโปร์ประกาศเอกราชในวันที่ 9 สิงหาคม พ.ศ.2508

ประวัติ: เพลงมาจูเลาะห์ สิงาปูราได้เขียนขึ้นในในช่วงการตื่นตัวในเรื่องแนวคิดชาตินิยมของชาวสิงค์โปร์ช่วง พ.ศ.2499-2500 โดยเอินจิก ซูบีร์ ได้ประพันธ์เพลงนี้ขึ้นโดยได้รับบันดาลใจจากคำว่า "มาจูลาห์ สิงาปูรา" ซึ่งหมายถึง "สิงค์โปร์จงเจริญ" เพลงนี้ได้บรรเลงครั้งแรกเมื่อวันที่ 3 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2502 พร้อมกันกับธงของสิงคโปร์ และตราประจำรัฐ ณ ศาลาว่าการเมืองสิงค์โปร์ซิตี้ ในพิธีแต่งตั้งตั้งประมุขแห่งรัฐคนใหม่ คือ ยังดีเปอร์ตวนเนอการา เอินจิก ยูซุฟ บิน อิสฮาก ต่อมาเมื่อสิงคโปร์ได้รับเอกราชและออกจากสหพันธรัฐมลายาในปี พ.ศ.2508 เพลงมาจูลาห์ สิงาปูราก็ได้รับการรับรองให้เป็นเพลงชาติของประเทศสิงคโปร์ตราบเท่าทุก วันนี้
