Investigating Word Processing
Find at least three techniques you do not already know about MS-Word or LibreOffice which are not covered by any other sections in this homework set. Learn and practise the techniques you choose, then note what you did in an entry in your homework self- assessment form which you email Aj. Bijou.
In the Lecture Notes there are a few weblinks that point you to some tips & techniques for word-processing.
Some Advanced Tasks: As suggestions, why not investigate,
• Doing a Mail Merge — one doc contains names and addresses, the other uses this as a data source to fill in multiple forms to send to everyone, the only thing that changes in each form is the Name and Address.
• Add a Watermark to a document.
• Create a Macro and test it out.
• Experiment with Merging documents. Re-using one document in may others. Using just some sections of one document in another.
