ต่อมาเปลี่ยนชื่อเป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณเนื่องจากชั้นสูงสุดของน้ำตกเป็นธรรมชาติที่มีลักษณะคล้ายหัวช้าง
เอราวัณ มีแหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่น่าสนใจ คือ น้ำตกเอราวัณ อยู่ห่างจากตัวเมือง 65 กิโลเมตร เป็นน้ำตกที่ใหญ่และ
สวยงาม บนฝั่งแม่น้ำแควใหญ่ ต้นน้ำเกิดจากลำห้วยม่องไล่ไหลผ่านลงจากยอดเขาและผาสูง 2,100 เมตร น้ำตก
เอราวัณมีความยาว 1,500 เมตร แบ่งเป็น 7 ชั้น
