ข้อ ๖ เครื่องจักร เครื่องอุปกรณ์ หรือสิ่งที่นำมาใช้ในโรงงานต้องเป็นดังต่อไปนี้
(๑) มั่นคง แข็งแรง และเหมาะสม และในกรณีมีเหตุอันควรรัฐมนตรีจะกำหนดโดยประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษาให้การนำเครื่องจักร เครื่องอุปกรณ์ หรือสิ่งที่นำมาใช้ในโรงงานชนิดใดต้องมีคำรับรองของผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพวิศวกรรมควบคุม หรือบุคคลอื่นที่รัฐมนตรีกำหนดโดยประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษาก็ได้
(๒) ใช้เครื่องจักรที่มีความปลอดภัยและไม่ก่อให้เกิดความสั่นสะเทือน เสียง หรือ คลื่นวิทยุ รบกวนผู้อยู่อาศัยใกล้เคียง
(๓) มีเครื่องป้องกันอันตรายอันอาจเกิดจากส่วนที่เคลื่นไหวของเครื่องจักรตามความจำเป็นและเหมาะสม
(๔) บ่อหรือถังเปิดที่ทำงานสนองกันกับเครื่องจักรที่อาจเป็นอันตรายในการปฏิบัติงานของคนงาน ต้องมีขอบหรือราวกั้นแข็งแรงและปลอดภัยทางด้านที่คนเข้าถึงได้ สูงไม่น้อยกว่า ๑๐๐ เซนติเมตรจากระดับพื้นที่ติดกับบ่อหรือถังนั้น
