การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีจุดประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาความเหนียว,ความคงทน และ การดูดซับน้ำของกระดาษที่ทำจากกาบกล้วยและ กระดาษที่ทำจากผักตบชวา เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความเหนียว,ความคงทน และ การดูดซับน้ำ ระหว่างกระดาษที่ทำขึ้นมา จากกาบกล้วยและผักตบชวา และเพื่อศึกษาลักษะโครงสร้าง และ องค์ประกอบของกาบกล้วยและผักตบชวาโดยมีวิธีดำเนินการกับนักเรียน ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5/7 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2558 ของโรงเรียนลำปางกัลยาณี อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดลำปาง จำนวน 5. คน ได้มาจากการสุ่มอย่างง่าย เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการศึกษา ได้แก่ ผักตบชวาและกาบกล้วย พร้อมด้วยอุปกรณ์ทำกระดาษ เช่น ตะเกรงตากกระดาษ โซดาไฟ ไฮโดรเจนคาร์บอเนต อุปกรณ์วัดความยืดหยุ่นของกระดาษ เป็นต้น รายงานเร่องนี้จะสอดคล้องเข้ากับกลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้ทั้ง 8 กลุ่มสาระ สามารถนำไปประยุกต์ได้กับทุกการเรียนรู้ และเป็นปะโยชน์ที่สืบต่อไปในภายภาคหน้า

จากการทำโครงงานครั้งนี้พบว่า การทดลองผ่านไปได้ด้วยดี สามารถทำกระดาษจากทั้ง ผักตบชาและกาบกล้วยขึ้นมาได้และเป็นผลสำเร็จในการทดสอบแรงยืดหยุ่นของกระดาษทั้งสองชนิดได้
