ดังนั้นผู้วิจัยจึงรู้สึกสนใจว่ามีสาเหตุอันใดที่เป็นปัญหาในการเรียน Passive voice ของผู้เรียนชาวไทยและพวกเขามีวิธีการคิดและเรียนอย่างไรในการเลือกใช้ Active และ Passive voice ในการทำข้อสอบโดยงานวิจัยชิ้นนี้เป็นกรณีศึกษา ( Case study ) ของนักศึกษาภาอังกฤษคณะมนุษย์ศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ชั้นปีที่1 มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏบุรีรัมย์ อีกทั้งการสำรวจวรรณกรรมพบว่าไม่มีรายงานวิจัยมากนักที่เกี่ยวข้องกับวิธีการเรียนรู้ไวยากรณ์ ( Grammar strategies ) ดังนั้นจึงเป็นเรื่องที่น่าสนใจมากในการทำการศึกษาว่าผู้เรียนมีวิธีการเรียนรู้อย่างไรในการเรียนรู้ไวยากรณ์
