ในประเทศไทยมีการวัดปริมาณของBlack carbon ยังไม่พบรายงานการวัดในรูป Black carbon โดยตรงแต่จะวัดในรูปแบบของเขม่าควันดำโดยวัดจากค่าความทึบแสงของเขม่าควันดำจากรถยนต์และเขม่าควันดำจากการเผาไหม้จากอุตสาหกรรมต่างๆและได้มีการกำหนดมาตรฐานไว้ดังนี้

หรือผงแบเรียมซัลเฟต (BaSO4) ชนิดเกรดสารเคมี (Reagent Grade) เจาะช่องเป็นรูปวงกลมตรง
จุดศูนย์กลางของแผนภูมิเขม่าควันขนาดเส้นผ่านศูนย์กลาง ๑๒ มิลลิเมตร และให้แบ่งรูปวงกลม
