ทั้งนี้ นายเอ็ดวิน ยังให้การว่า ขณะเกิดเหตุตนสังเกตเห็นสิ่งผิดปกติ นายยงยุทธ หายตัวไปช่วงเดียวกันที่ น.ส.เอ็มม่า เดินกลับที่พัก อีกทั้งได้รับแจ้งว่ามีรถจักรยานยนต์จอดซุ่มดูบางอย่างแบบผิดปกติ ตนกับอาสาสมัครคนอื่นๆ จึงได้ออกไปตรวจสอบ ก่อนจะพบเห็น นายยงยุทธ วิ่งเปลือยล่อนจ้อนหายเข้าไปในป่าและหลบหนีหายไป

ภายหลังจากเกิดเหตุ น.ส.เอ็มม่า ตกอยู่ในสภาพหวาดกลัวกับเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น ตามร่างกายมีร่องรอยถูกทำร้ายร่างกาย จึงได้นำตัวไปตรวจร่างกายที่โรงพยาบาล ก่อนจะให้กลับมาสอบปากคำกับเจ้าหน้าที่อีกครั้ง เพื่อตามหาเบาะแสของผู้ก่อเหตุ เบื้องต้นทราบว่า นายยงยุทธ เข้ามาทำงานกับมููลนิธิได้ราวๆ 7 เดือน หลังเกิดเหตุได้หายตัวไปจากศูนย์อนุรักษ์ฯ คาดว่าน่าจะยังพบหนีอยู่ในพื้นที่

ล่าสุด เมื่อช่วงเย็นที่ผ่านมา สภ.ท่าไม้รวก ได้เปิดเผยว่า นายยงยุทธ ผู้ต้องหา ได้เดินทางเข้ามามอบตัวกับเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจเอง จึงได้ควบคุมตัวไปดำเนินการสอบสวน เบื้องต้นจึงได้แจ้งข้อหาข่มขืนกระทำชำเราและทำร้ายร่างกายผู้อื่น ก่อจะนำตัวส่งฝากขังศาลจังหวัดเพชรบุรีอีกครั้งต่อไป
