ประวัติสวนนงนุช


"สวนนงนุช" ดีสนีย์แลนด์ มหัศจรรย์ แห่งพันธุ์ไม้ นานาพันธ์
สถาน ที่ท่องเที่ยวหลายแห่งก่อกำเนิดเพื่อบันทึกประวัติศาสตร์ว่า ณ สถานที่แห่งนั้น เคยมีการถ่ายทำภาพยนตร์ฟอร์มยักษ์เรื่องใดเรื่องหนึ่ง ไว้รองรับคนดูภาพยนตร์ที่อยากไปเยือนยังสถานที่ที่เคยถ่ายทำ เพียงเพื่อบันทึกภาพตนเองเสมือนเป็นผู้หนึ่งที่โลดแล่นบนแผ่นฟิล์ม ที่ตัวเองชื่นชอบ

หาก ขับรถเลยพัทยาใต้ไปตามถนนสุขุมวิท ประมาณ 15 กิโลเมตร ถึงกิโลเมตร 163 แยกซ้าย ไปประมาณ 3.5 กิโลเมตร หลายคนอาจเคยไปพักผ่อนหย่อนใจในสวนไม้ดอกไม้ประดับที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในภาคตะวัน ออก ซึ่งมีรางวัลดีเด่นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเพื่อการนันทนาการ ภาคกลาง จากการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย ในการประกวดรางวัลอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยวติดต่อกัน 2 ปีซ้อน อันได้แก่สวนนงนุช

ผู้ คนที่เคยเข้าไปชมคงอดใจไม่ได้ที่จะบันทึกภาพตนเองไว้ แม้สวนนงนุชแห่งนั้นจะไม่ใช่บันทึกทางประวัติศาสตร์ของภาพยนตร์เรื่องใดเลยก็ตาม แต่เป็นเจตนาที่จงใจของอดีตผู้กำกับภาพยนตร์มือดี อาทิ วัยอลวล ที่พลิกผันมารับช่วงดูแลสวนไม้ดอกไม้ประดับ ทั้งที่ไม่มีความรู้เรื่องต้นไม้ แต่ต้องการตอบโจทย์ของแนวความคิด "จัดสวนให้คนมาเที่ยว" ให้ได้ สวนนงนุช

โดย ที่ตัวชี้วัดไม่ใช่แค่จำนวนคนที่เข้ามาเที่ยวเท่านั้น แต่เป้าหมายในใจที่เจ้าของสวนนงนุชวางไว้คือ ผู้เข้าชมอดใจไม่ได้ที่จะบันทึกภาพตัวเองไว้ในทุกมุม โดยมี "สวนนงนุช" เปรียบเสมือนดิสนีย์แลนด์ แดนพันธุ์ไม้แห่งนี้เป็นฉากหลัง อยู่นั้นเอง

นาย กัมพล ตันสัจจา ผู้อำนวยการสวนนงนุช เล่าให้ทีมงานได้รับฟังว่า เดิมเคยทำแต่ภาพยนตร์ มีความรู้ด้านวิศวกรรมไฟฟ้า แต่ไม่รู้จักต้นไม้เลย เมื่อต้องมาดูแลกิจการสวนที่ได้เริ่มต้นไว้แล้ว สิ่งที่ต้องทำคือปรับตัวให้เข้ากับสถานการณ์ใหม่นี้ให้จงได้ เริ่มจากทัศนคติของตนเองก่อนเลย เมื่อสวนนงนุชปรับจากสวนผลไม้เป็นสวนไม้ดอกและไม้ประดับ โดยมีแนวความคิด "จัดสวนให้คนมาเที่ยว" แต่เนื่องจากสวนในความรู้สึกของคนเอเชียเป็นเรื่องปกติธรรมดา เพราะว่ามีมากมายจนนับไม่ถ้วน

"แล้วจะทำยังไหงละทีนี้ ทำอย่างไรให้มีนักท่องเที่ยวเข้ามาเที่ยวที่สวนนงนุช พยายามเข้าใจถึงกึ๋นของมันว่าสวนมีอะไร เพราะเราเป็นเอกชนต้องมีรายได้ด้วย แต่สวน ไม่ใช่แหล่งที่มาของรายได้มากมาย เพราะต้นทุนด้านการบำรุงรักษาสูงมาก ที่มีอยู่ส่วนมากเป็นสวนพฤษศาสตร์ต่างๆ เพื่อส่งเสริมให้รู้จักต้นไม้ รักต้นไม้ แต่ไม่ใช่การดึงเงินเข้ามา เพราะในเอเชีย ถ้าพูดถึงสวน ถือว่าธรรมดามาก ตามธรรมชาติ มีป่า มีเขา มีลำธาร น้ำตก เพราะฉะนั้นสวนสวย เท่ากับ สวนที่มีการประดับตกแต่ง อะไรที่ไม่ใช่ธรรมชาติที่สุด"
