เดิมชื่อ “โรงเรียนวัดสนามบินเก่า” เปิดทำการสอน วันที่ ๑๓ มิถุนายน ๒๔๘๓ โดยผู้ใหญ่บ้าน คณะอำเภอ และประชาชน ร่วมกันจัดสร้างอาคารเรียนชั่วคราว เปิดสอนตั้งแต่ชั้นเตรียมประถม ถึง
ชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ ๒ มีนักเรียนทั้งหมด ๑๑๐ คน ครู ๓ คน คือ
๑. นายเชาว์ ทิมโต้ ครูใหญ่
๒. นายถ้วน คุ้มครอง ครูน้อย
๓. นางสาวลูกยอ บุญพิพัฒน์ ครูน้อย
ต่อมาพระครูวิไลเขมจาโร เจ้าอาวาสวัดสนามบิน คณะกรรมการวัด ประชาชน คณะครู
และกำนัน ผู้ใหญ่บ้านเห็นว่าอาคารเรียนชำรุดทรุดโทรม จึงพร้อมใจกันสร้างอาคารใหม่ ดังนี้
เดือนตุลาคม พ. ศ. ๒๔๙๗ ได้สร้างอาคารเรียน ๒ ชั้น ใต้ถุนสูง ตามแบบ ป. ๒ ของกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ ขนาดกว้าง ๙.๐๐ เมตร ยาว ๔๑.๐๐ เมตร จำนวน ๑๐ ห้องเรียน ในขณะที่อาคารหลังใหม่ยังไม่แล้วเสร็จนั้น จำนวนนักเรียนได้เพิ่มมากขึ้น จึงได้สร้างอาคารเรียนกึ่งถาวรขึ้นอีกหลังหนึ่งมีขนาดกว้าง ๖.๐๐ เมตร ยาว ๓๙.๐๐ เมตร ส่วนอาคารถาวรแบบ ป. ๒ กำลังก่อสร้างนั้นได้ชะงักลง เพราะขาดเงินที่จะนำมาก่อสร้าง ซึ่งได้สิ้นเงินค่าก่อสร้างไป ๑๓๓,๙๕๖.๑๓ บาท เงินจำนวนนี้ ไม่ได้ใช้งบประมาณของทางราชการเลย จนกระทั่งเมื่อวันที่ ๘ กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. ๒๕๐๐ จึงได้รับงบประมาณจากทางราชการจำนวน ๑๑๐,๐๐๐ บาท เพื่อก่อสร้างอาคารเรียนถาวรแบบ ป. ๒ ในจำนวนเงินดังกล่าวนี้ ใช้ขยายอาคารเรียนแบบถาวรเป็นเงิน ๑๐,๐๐๐ บาท
เดือนพฤศจิกายน พ.ศ.๒๕๐๐ ได้รับเงินงบประมาณจากทางราชการเพื่อดำเนินการก่อสร้างอาคารเรียนแบบ ป. ๒ ซึ่งยังสร้างไม่เสร็จอีก ๑๐๐,๐๐๐ บาท งานก่อสร้างดำเนินต่อไปจนเสร็จเรียบร้อยในวันที่ ๒๓ มกราคม พ.ศ. ๒๕๐๑ พร้อมกันนั้นก็ได้ขออนุญาตเปลี่ยนชื่อโรงเรียนใหม่ เป็น “โรงเรียนวัดศรีวิสุทธาราม (วิไลราษฎร์อุปถัมภ์)” เพื่อเป็นเกียรติประวัติแก่ผู้ริเริ่มจัดตั้งและก่อสร้างโรงเรียนอาคารเรียนหลังนี้นับเป็นอาคารเรียนหลังแรกของโรงเรียน
