ในชีวิตเมืองการจราจรวุ่นวายและรีบเร่ง แต่ชีวิตบ้านนอกสงบเงียบ
ในเมืองใหญ่ๆ อย่างเช่น กรุงเทพ มีผู้คนอาศัยอยู่มากมาย จึงมีรถราเต็มท้องถนน รถจึงติด ผู้คนมักเร่งรีบ ต้องรีบไปทำงานให้ทันเวลา บางครั้งจึงต้องเผื่อเวลาในการเดินทาง
แต่ในบ้านนอกนั้น บ้านช่องไม่ค่อยแออัดนัก
คนไม่เยอะเท่าในเมือง ส่วนมากจะเดินทางสะดวก รถไม่ติด ใช้เวลาไม่มากในการเดินทางไปไหนมาไหน

นอกจากนี้ ที่แตกต่างกันระหว่างชีวิตในเมืองใหญ่และชีวิตบ้านนอกนั้นก็คือสภาพแวดล้อม ในเมืองใหญ่นั้นสภาพแวดล้อมไม่ดี ทั้งเสียงดัง แถมมีมลพิษมากมาย ทั้งมลพิษจากท่อรถไอเสีย แหล่งน้ำเน่าเสีย
ขยะเยอะเพราะพื้นที่แออัด สิ่งก่อสร้างในเมืองใหญ่นั้นมากมาย ตึกสูงใหญ่โต ต้นไม้มีน้อย เพราะถูกตัดเพื่อสร้างตึกและอาคาร ในบ้านนอกนั้น ส่วนมากมีแต่บ้านเรือนหลังเล็กๆ ตึกไม่ใหญ่โต และไม่ค่อยแออัด มีทุ่งนาและสวน มีต้นไม้เยอะ



ทั้งคนในเมืองก็ต้องทำงานหนักและมีชีวิตประจำวันเหมือนกัน คนเมืองหลายคนต้องตื่นเช้า เพื่อทำงานในแต่ละวันในเวลาเดิม และกลับบ้านในตอนค่ำ ส่วนชีวิตคนบ้านนอกส่วนมากมักจะเป็นชาวนา ที่ก็ต้องตื่นแต่เช้า เพื่อมาให้อาหารวัวควาย ไก่ รดน้ำต้นไม้ ทำสวน ล้วนแล้วแต่ต้องทำงานหนักเพื่อหาเลี้ยงชีพเหมือนกัน

สิ่งที่เหมือนกันสุดท้ายคือ การเฉลิมฉลองเทศกาล ทั้งชีวิตคนเมืองและบ้านนอกต่างก็เฉลิมฉลองเทศกาลในประเทศไทยเหมือนกัน โดยเฉพาะเทศกาลสงกรานต์ ที่จะมีผู้คนออกมาเล่นน้ำ มีการรดน้ำดำหัวผู้ใหญ่ และเข้าวัด และเทศกาลปีใหม่ทุกคนก็ต่างเฉลิมฉลอง มีงานกาชาด งานวัด และต่างก็มีการนับถอยหลัง จุดพลุขึ้นปีใหม่เหมือนกัน
