       สุบินเล่าว่า คุณพ่อ (ทวี วนัสพิทักษกุล) บุกเบิกปลูกชาที่ดอยพญาไพร ต.เทอดไทย อ.แม่ฟ้าหลวง จ.เชียงราย ตั้งแต่เกือบ 40 ปีที่แล้ว มีจุดเด่นเป็นชาสูตรโบราณจากเมืองจีนแท้ๆ ประกอบกับพื้นที่เพาะปลูกอยู่สูงจากระดับน้ำทะเล 800-1,000 เมตร อากาศเย็นตลอดทั้งปีจึงปลูกชาได้คุณภาพเยี่ยมเป็นที่ต้องการของตลาดอย่างสูง โดยเฉพาะในช่วง 10 กว่าปีให้หลังที่ธุรกิจเครื่องดื่มชาเขียวในเมืองไทยเติบโตอย่างยิ่ง ส่งให้กิจการของไร่ชาฉุยฟงเติบโตตามไปด้วย จนถึงปัจจุบันมีพื้นที่เพาะปลูกอยู่ที่ อ.แม่ฟ้าหลวง และ อ.แม่จัน จ.เชียงราย รวมกว่า 1,200 ไร่
 ส่วนตัวแล้ว ทายาทวัย 33 ปีคลุกคลีเรียนรู้และช่วยงานในไร่มาตั้งแต่เกิด กระทั่ง ประมาณ 3-4 ปีที่แล้วเข้ามารับช่วงดูแลกิจการต่อจากพ่อเต็มตัว โดยสิ่งสำคัญพยายามปรับกระบวนการผลิตเป็นเกษตรอินทรีย์ 100% หวังเพิ่มมูลค่าผลิตภัณฑ์ หนีจากการแข่งขันจากชานำเข้า โดยเฉพาะจากจีน อีกทั้งตอบความต้องการของผู้บริโภคยุคนี้ที่ใส่ใจสุขภาพเพิ่มขึ้น              สุบินกล่าวถ่อมตัวว่า จริงๆ แล้วแนวคิดดังกล่าวเริ่มมาตั้งแต่รุ่นคุณพ่อ ส่วนตนเพียงเข้ามาสานต่อเท่านั้น โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนความรู้ และปรับเปลี่ยนวิธีการผลิตจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐในท้องถิ่น เช่น กรมการปกครอง โดย อ.แม่ฟ้าหลวง เป็นต้น เน้นปรับพฤติกรรมเกษตรกรในเครือข่ายให้ตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการทำเกษตรอินทรีย์
