จุดประสงค์รายวิชา


1. เพื่อให้มีความรู้ความเข้าใจกลยุทธ์การอ่าน เพื่อความเข้าใจ


2. เพื่อให้นำกลยุทธ์ในการอ่านไปใช้ในบทอ่านประเภทต่าง ๆ ในเรื่องเชิงวิชาชีพ และการอ่านเพื่อความเพลิดเพลิน


3. เพื่อให้เห็นประโยชน์ของการอ่าน และรู้จักแสวงหาความรู้เพิ่มเติมจากการอ่านในเวลาและนอกเวลาเรียน


มาตรฐานรายวิชา


1. ใช้กลยุทธ์ในการอ่าน เทคนิคการเดาความหมายของคำศัพท์จากบริบท การอ่านจับใจความสำคัญ การอ่านหาข้อมูลเฉพาะ


2. วิเคราะห์ส่วนต่าง ๆ ของ คำ ได้แก่ รากศัพท์ prefix และ suffix และส่วนต่าง ๆ ของประโยคที่จำเป็นต่อความเข้าใจ


3. บอกใจความสำคัญ รายละเอียด สรุป จากสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ที่เป็นเอกสารจริง หรือจากอินเตอร์เน็ต


4. เลือกภาพ วาดภาพ เขียนสัญลักษณ์ตรงตามความหมายของประโยค หรือข้อความสั้น ๆ จากเรื่องที่อ่าน

ศึกษา ปฏิบัติ การใช้เทคนิคการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจเรื่องราวต่าง ๆ จากสื่อประเภทต่าง ๆ ทั้งจากเนื้อหาทางวิชาชีพ สารคดี เรื่องราวบันเทิง จากแหล่งสื่อที่หลากหลาย เช่น อินเตอร์เน็ต นิตยสาร หนังสือพิมพ์เรื่องสั้น เรื่องราวบทความ เอกสาร คู่มือ ป้ายประกาศ ฉลาก และภาพประกอบ โดยใช้กลยุทธ์ในการอ่านที่เหมาะสมกับเนื้อหา ศึกษา รากศัพท์ Prefix และ Suffix วิเคราะห์โครงสร้างของประโยคเพื่อความเข้าใจความหมายของคำและข้อความที่อ่าน
