นางจุรี วิจิตรวาทการ เลขาธิการมูลนิธิองค์กรเพื่อความโปร่งใสในประเทศไทย กล่าวถึงผลการจัดอันดับภาพลักษณ์คอร์รัปชัน ประจำปี 2557 ว่า ผลการจัดอันดับปีนี้ ไทยได้ 38 คะแนน จากปีที่แล้วมาเป็น 35 คะแนน และขยับอันดับขึ้นมาจากอันดับที่ 102 เป็นอันดับที่ 85 ของโลก และเป็นอันดับที่ 3 จาก 9 ประเทศในกลุ่มอาเซียน ทั้งนี้ ผลที่ค่า CPI ของไทยดีขึ้น อาจหมายถึงในช่วงปีที่ผ่านมา หลายภาคส่วนได้พยายามมีส่วนร่วมในการแก้ไขปัญหา และเห็นผลของการแก้ปัญหาบางด้านรวมถึง การตื่นตัวของภาคธุรกิจในการต่อต้านการทุจริต อีกทั้ง คนไทยจำนวนมากแสดงจุดยืนอย่างชัดเจนไม่ยอมรับการทุจริตคอร์รัปชั่น
