งานวิจัยฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ

งานวิจัยฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1)เพื่อทำการศึกษาการวางผังโรงงานโดยใช้ทฤษฎีการวางผังโรงงานอย่างมีระบบ (Systematic Layout Planning) เพื่อให้ได้ผังโรงงานที่มีความคล่องตัวและง่ายต่อการดัดแปลง2)เพื่อนำทฤษฎีการวางผังโรงงาน (Systematic Layout) มาใช้ในการปรับปรุงวางแผนผังโรงงานของ บริษัท ท็อปไลน์ (ประเทศไทย)จำกัด3)เพื่อลดเวลาในการผลิต ลดการเคลื่อนที่และเพิ่มพื้นที่ว่างของ บริษัท ท็อปไลน์ (ประเทศไทย)จำกัด ให้มากขึ้น ขั้นตอนในการดำเนินการวิจัยประกอบด้วย(1)ศึกษาและรวบรวมข้อมูลผังโรงงานของ บริษัท ท็อปไลน์ (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด(2)วิเคราะห์สาเหตุและปัญหาของการไหลของชิ้นงาน(3)จัดการผังโรงงานโดยใช้ทฤษฎี (Systematic Layout Planning)
(4) สรุปผล ซึ่งการปรับปรุงงานในงานวิจัย ได้เน้นหนักไปที่การปรับปรุงการวางผังโรงานใหม่
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า
หลังจากมีการปรับปรุงการวางผังโรงงานโดยได้นำทฤษฎีการวางผังโรงงาน (SLP Systematic Layout Planning)มาคิดค้นรูปแบบในการวางผังโรงงานที่มีประสิทธิภาพเพื่อลดปัญหาในการเคลื่อนที่และเป็นการเพิ่มพื้นที่ใช้สอยให้มากขึ้น จากเดิมระยะทางในการขนถ่ายวัสดุ 11.5 เมตร หลังจากมีการปรับปรุงผังโรงงานระยะในการขนถ่ายวัสดุลดลง 3.9 เมตร คิดเป็น 33.9% ก่อนทำการปรับปรุงพื้นที่ในว่างโรงงาน 225 ตาราง เมตรหลังมีการปรับปรุงมีพื้นที่ว่างเพิ่มขึ้น 35 ตารางเมตร คิดเป็น 15.55% ซึ่งแนวทางในการปรับปรุงที่ได้จากงานวิจัยนี้ สามารถนำไปประยุกต์ใช้กับโรงงานอื่นๆได้ เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการวางผังโรงงาน
