สาขาการสื่อสารผ่านสื่อใหม่ผลิตหลักสูตรครั้งแรกเกิดขึ้นในปีการศึกษา2552 ซึ่งคณะวิทยาการจัดการ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัสวนสุนันทา ได้จัดการเรียนการสอนในด้านการผลิตงานด้านสื่อใหม่ที่มีความเกี่ยวข้องกับการสื่อสารขึ้นในหลักสูตรการสื่อสารผ่านสื่อใหม่โดยมีเนื้อหาที่ประกอบไปด้วยการเรียนการสอนด้านการสื่อสารและการผลิตงานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสื่อสมัยใหม่ ทั้งนี้นักศึกษาที่จบการศึกษาจะต้องมีการเรียนการสอนต้องไม่ตำกว่า126หน่วยกิตและได้ดำเนินการมาจนถึงปีการศึกษา2554จึงได้มีการปรับปรุงหลักสูตรและได้หลักสูตรใหม่ซึ่งเป็นหลักสูตร2555 ที่มีการปรับปรุงเนื้อหาเพื่อให้เนื้อหาการเรียนการสอนให้มีการฝึกปฎิบัติมากขึ้นเพื่อและเน้นการทำงานในสายอาชีพมากขึ้นและตรงกับความต้องการตลาดและนักเรียนและผู้สนใจมากขึ้น
