2. ส่งนักเรียนสู่ประเทศสมาชิกเกือบทั่วโลกทั้งในทวีปอเมริกาเหนือ อเมริกาใต้ ยุโรป ออสเตรเลียและเอเชีย อาทิ สหรัฐอเมริกา ญี่ปุ่น แคนาดา เยอรมนี เบลเยี่ยม ฝรั่งเศส สวิตเซอร์แลนด์ อิตาลี นอรเวย์ สวีเดน เดนมาร์ค รัสเซีย บราซิล ชิลี อาร์เจนตินา และประเทศอื่นๆ
3. พำนักกับครอบครัวอุปถัมภ์ที่จัดสรรโดยเอเอฟเอสประเทศอุปถัมภ์
4. เรียนรู้ภาษาและร่วมกิจกรรมในโรงเรียนอุปถัมภ์เสมือนเป็นนักเรียนในระดับมัธยมศึกษาคนหนึ่งของโรงเรียน
5. เรียนรู้และแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมโดยมีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรมของชุมชน และร่วมทัศนศึกษา
6. เป็นตัวแทนเยาวชนไทยนำวัฒนธรรมและเอกลักษณ์ของไทยไปเผยแพร่ต่อครอบครัว โรงเรียน และชุมชนในประเทศอุปถัมภ์
7. เข้าร่วมโครงการระยะเวลาประมาณ 9 - 11 เดือน ขึ้นอยู่กับประเทศอุปถัมภ์เป็นผู้กำหนด
8. สามารถเทียบชั้นเรียนได้โดยจะต้องนำผลการเรียนหรือผลการประเมินจากโรงเรียนอุปถัมภ์มาดำเนินการตามหลักเกณฑ์ของกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ
9. ปฏิบัติตามกฎระเบียบของเอเอฟเอสทุกประการ
10. ได้รับประกาศนียบัตรของ เอเอฟเอส ประเทศไทยเมื่อเสร็จสิ้นโครงการ

ผลที่ได้รับจากโครงการ

1. ได้รับประสบการณ์การใช้ชีวิตในต่างประเทศ
2. ได้ภาษาที่สาม คือ ภาษาสเปน เพื่อใช้ในการติดต่อสื่อสาร
