งานโครงการนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อออกแบบและพัฒนาชั้นวางหนังสือในที่พักอาศัยจากเศษไม้
ผู้ศึกษาได้ดำเนินงานโครงการ โดยคำนึงถึงรูปแบบและสามารถตอบสนองความต้องการของผู้ใช้งานเพิ่มมากขึ้น ประชากรที่ผู้จัดทำโครงการกำหนดใช้ในโครงการนี้ คือ กลุ่มนักศึกษา คณะบริหารธุรกิจและศิลปะศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลล้านนา จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ รวมจำนวน 30 คน หลังจากเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์ตามแบบสัมภาษณ์อย่างไม่มีโครงสร้าง ผู้ศึกษาได้วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติวิเคราะห์หาค่าร้อยละในส่วนของข้อมูลส่วนตัวและนำเสนอในรูปของตารางประกอบความเรียง ในส่วนของพฤติกรรมและส่วนความคิดเห็นผู้ศึกษาใช้วิธีการวิเคราะห์เชิงตรรกศาสตร์แล้วนำเสนอในรูปของการบรรยายเป็นความเรียง
ผลการศึกษาครั้งนี้ พบว่า ด้านรูปร่าง รูปแบบของชั้นวางหนังสือ คือ รูปทรงเรขาคณิตแบบทรงสี่เหลี่ยม ด้านสีสันของชั้นวางหนังสือนั้น สามารถสรุปผลได้เป็นสีธรรมชาติของไม้ ด้านโครงสร้างของชั้นวางหนังสือ สามารถสรุปผลได้ว่า โครงสร้างหลักเป็นไม้เข้าจ๊อยท์ ด้านลวดลายของชั้นวางหนังสือ คือลวดลายที่ได้จากการนำเศษไม้อัดมาเรียงต่อกันเป็นลายบนชั้นวางหนังสือ ด้านประโยชน์ใช้สอยของชั้นวางหนังสือจากเศษไม้ สามารถปรับเปลี่ยนหน้าที่การใช้งานของเก้าอี้อ่านหนังสือ มาเป็นโต๊ะเขียนหนังสือเล็กๆได้
