โครงงานเรื่องการศึกษาพฤติกรรมของมดที่มีต่อแป้งชนิดต่างๆ เพื่อศึกษาชนิดของแป้งต่างๆที่มีผลต่อมด เปรียบเทียบความแตกต่างของพฤติกรรมมดรวมถึงนำความรู้ที่ได้จากการศึกษานี้ไปพัฒนาแป้งไล่มด ทำการทดลองโดยการแบ่งฐานกิจกรรมต่างๆออกเป็น3ฐาน ฐานแรกคือกิจกรรมการเดินทางของมด ฐานที่2คือการสังเกตพฤติกรรมของมด และฐานที่3คือการศึกษาองค์ประกอบภายในของมดที่สัมผัสกับแป้ง โดยผลการศึกษาทดลองพบว่าการใช้แป้งเย็นไล่มดนั้นมีประสิทธิภาพมากที่สุด เนื่องจากแป้งเย็นมีโมเลกุลขนาดใหญ่และมีสารเคมีสังเคราะห์ต่างๆเป็นจำนวนมาก เช่น ทัลคัม การบูรณ์ และเมนทอล ซึ่งส่งผลต่อระบบภายในร่างกายของมด โดยจากการศึกษาของรศ.ดร.ไสยวิชญ์ วรวินิต เขียนลงในนิตยสารออนไลน์เรื่องภัยแฝงจากแป้งฝุ่นทาตัว เสี่ยงโรคปอด-มะเร็งรังไข่(2556) พบว่า สารเคมีสังเคราะห์ชนิดนี้มีผลต่อมนุษย์ และยังสามารถทำให้เกิดโรคมะเร็งปากมดลูกในสตรีได้อีกด้วย
