วัชพืชเป็นปัญหาต่อพืชเพาะปลูก โดยเฉพาะการทำนาข้าวส่งผลให้มีผลผลิตลดลง ดังนั้นการศึกษาวัชพืชในนาข้าวจึงมีส่วนสำคัญในการแก้ปัญหาดังกล่าว ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ได้ทำการสำรวจและสุ่มเก็บตัวอย่างวัชพืชในนาข้าวตำบลทับยายเชียง อำเภอพรหมพิราม จังหวัดพิษณุโลก ตั้งแต่เดือนสิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2558 ถึงเดือนตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2558 พบตัวอย่างวัชพืชทั้งหมด 72 ตัวอย่าง สามารถจัดจำแนกได้ 12 วงศ์ 20 สกุล 24 ชนิด และ 3 สายพันธุ์ จำนวนชนิดที่พบมากที่สุดอยู่ในวงศ์ Poaceae 6 ชนิด รองลงมาวงศ์ Cyperaceae Fabaceae วงศ์ย่อย Papilionoideae พบจำนวนวงศ์ละ 3 ชนิด วงศ์ Asteraceae Linderniaceae Phyllanthaceae พบวงศ์ละ 2 ชนิด และ Commelitaceae Cucurbitaceae Malvaceae Plantaginaceae Onagraceae และ Rubiaceae พบวงศ์ละ 1 ชนิด และพบว่า 20 ชนิดมีการรายงานการนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ โดยแบ่งเป็น ด้านสมุนไพร 16 ชนิด ด้านการบริโภค 1 ชนิด ด้านอาหารสัตว์ 4 ชนิด และไม่เคยมีการรายงานการนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ 3 ชนิด
