1. งานวิจัยของ เพ็ญศรี กันทาสุวรรณ์ (2536) ที่ศึกษาเรื่องผลการใช้เทคนิคการต่อบทเรียนที่มีความเข้าใจต่อการอ่าน และทัศนคติด้านการเรียนวิชาภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนบ้านสันกลาง อำเภอแม่สรวย จังหวัดเชียงราย ผลของการศึกษาพบว่า การเรียนแบบร่วมมือโดยใช้กิจกรรมต่อชิ้นส่วน ทำให้ผู้เรียนมีพัฒนาการด้านการอ่าน เพื่อความเข้าใจภาษาอังกฤษสูงขึ้น รวมถึงทัศนคติโดยรวมทุกด้านต่อการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษอยู่ในระดับดีมาก
2. อารดา กันทะหงส์ (2545) ซึ่งศึกษาการใช้เทคนิคการต่อชิ้นส่วนในการอ่านวรรณคดีเพื่อส่งเสริมความเข้าใจในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ และความฉลาดทางอารมณ์ กลุ่มเป้าหมายที่ศึกษาเป็นนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 3 คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ สถาบันราชภัฏเชียงใหม่ จากผลการวิจัยพบว่าความเข้าใจในการอ่าน และความฉลาดทางอารมณ์หลังการเรียนสูงขึ้นเมื่อใช้กิจกรรมต่อชิ้นส่วน ซึ่งปัจจัยที่ส่งเสริมให้ผู้เรียนได้คะแนนความเข้าใจในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ เนื่องมาจากผู้เรียนมีส่วนร่วมในการเรียนการสอน รวมทั้งมีปฏิสัมพันธ์กับผู้สอนและเพื่อนนักเรียนมากกว่าการสอนแบบดั้งเดิม ผู้เรียนจึงมีโอกาสแสดงความคิดเห็น และความสามารถในการคิดวิเคราะห์ และการนำความรู้เดิมมาเชื่อมโยงกับความรู้ใหม่ ทำให้ผู้เรียนเข้าใจเรื่องที่อ่านมากขึ้น
