เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้มี 2 ชนิด ประกอบด้วย1. แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ ประเภทปรนัย ชนิดเลือกตอบ มี 4 ตัวเลือก จานวน 25 ข้อ ซึ่งประกอบด้วย 5 ทักษะ ได้แก่ การหาหัวเรื่อง การหาใจความสาคัญ การหารายละเอียด การหาคำอ้างอิง และการเดาคาศัพท์จากบริบท2. แบบสอบถามเพื่อใช้สารวจปัญหาและปัจจัยของปัญหาในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษของ นักศึกษา แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ส่วน คือส่วนที่ 1 ข้อมูลพื้นฐานของนักศึกษาส่วนที่ 2 ปัญหาในการอ่าน และปัจจัยของปัญหาในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ

Instruments used in the study There are two kinds of instruments used in this study.
1. English reading ability test. There are four options for semantic type, type and selective answer. The 25 sections consist of five skills: finding topics, meaning, details, references and guessing words from context.
2. The influence of questionnaire survey on the problems and factors existing in college students' English reading is mainly divided into two parts:
The first part is the basic information of college students
The second part, reading difficulties in English reading and its influencing factors.
