บ้านประทับใจ" เป็นบ้านส่วนบุคคล ตั้งอยู่บนเนื้อที่ทั้งหมด 34 ไร่ ก่อสร้างเมื่อปี พ.ศ.2515 โดยคุณพ่อกิจจา ชัยวัณณคุปต์ (เจ้าของบ้านซึ่งปัจจุบันถึงแก่กรรมแล้ว ปัจจุบันคุณแม่ลำยอง ชัยวัณณคุปต์ผู้เป็นภรรยา ได้ดูแลรับผิดชอบสืบต่อมา) เป็นผู้ออกแบบและตกแต่งบ้านด้วยตัวท่านเอง

บ้านประทับใจมีการก่อสร้างต่อเติมมาเรื่อยๆ ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ.2515 โดยใช้ไม้สักท่อนขนาดใหญ่ตั้งเป็นเสาบ้าน จำนวนทั้งหมด 130 ต้น ทำการก่อสร้างเสร็จสมบูรณ์เมื่อปี พ.ศ.2519

     ปัจจุบันบ้านประทับใจยังคงเป็นบ้านส่วนบุคคล แต่ก็ได้เปิดให้เป็นสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวแห่งหนึ่งของจังหวัดแพร่ ตามความประสงค์ของนักท่องเที่ยวที่ได้ติดต่อขอเข้าชมเป็นประจำ โดยมิได้เกี่ยวข้องกับทางราชการแต่อย่างใด โดยสามารถเข้าไปชมได้ทุกวัน เวลา 08:00-17:00 น.





     ชั้นล่างของตัวบ้าน บางส่วนจัดทำเป็นโชว์รูมและที่จำหน่ายสินค้าเพื่อเป็นของที่ระลึก ด้านบนของบ้านนั้นมีความกว้างใหญ่มาก โดยเฉพาะตัวบ้านนั้นมีเนื้อที่ประมาณ 1 ไร่ 3 งานเศษ ประกอบด้วย ห้องพักส่วนตัวชานมะปราง ซึ่งเป็นสวนนั่งเล่นที่มีร่มของต้นมะปรางประดับอยุ่ มีห้องพักรับรองแขกถึง 5 ห้อง

      ด้านหลังมีชานตะวันสำหรับนั่งรับแสงแดดในตอนเช้า มีชุดรับแขกแกะสลักที่ทำจากไม้แผ่นเดียวให้ท่านชม ตลอดทั้งโต๊ะยาวที่ทำจากไม้ซึ่งเป็นตอไม้
