วัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัย เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมและปัญหาที่เกิดจากการใช้จ่ายเงินกองทุนให้กู้ยืมเพื่อการศึกษา ของนักศึกษาคณะครุศาสตร์อุตสาหกรรม สถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าคุณทหารลาดกระบัง จำแนกตามเพศ สาขาวิชา ระดับชั้นปี โดยศึกษาค่าใช้จ่าย 2 ด้านคือ ค่าใช้จ่ายที่เกี่ยวเนื่องกับการศึกษา ค่าใช้จ่ายที่จำเป็นในการครองชีพระหว่างการเรียน โดยศึกษาจากประชากรและกลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ นักศึกษาของคณะครุศาสตร์อุตสาหกรรม สถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าคุณทหารลาดกระบัง ที่ขอกู้ยืมเงินจากกองทุนเงินให้กู้ยืมเพื่อการศึกษา ในปีการศึกษา 2551 จำนวน 216 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการรวบรวมข้อมูล เป็นแบบสอบถามแบบมาตราส่วนประมาณค่า (Rating Scales) 5 ระดับ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้โปรแกรมสำเร็จรูป เพื่อหาค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน
