The luvisols was air dried, removed impurities, sifted through a 2 mm sieve, and then used to chemical analysis and pot. With 1 seedling per pot, approximately 8 kg of the matrix (vermiculite: perlite: luvisols=15%: 15%: 70%, pH =7.48) was filled in each pot. Trays were placed on the bottom of the pot to collect soil lost due to watering.
