เป็นเทศกาลที่จัดในประเทศอินเดียและเนปาลเป็นหลัก เป็นเทศกาลรื่นเริงของศาสนาฮินดู โดยจัดขึ้น 2 วันในช่วงเดือนมีนาคมหรือฤดูใบไม้ผลิของทุกปี โดยวันแรกจะมีการก่อไฟหรือที่เรียกกันว่า "โฮลิกะ" ในวันที่2 จะเป็นการฉลองโดยการเล่นสาดสี ซึ่งมีลักษณะเป็นผงสีสันต่างๆ กันอย่างสนุกสนาน
