บทคัดย่อ
งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบการเลี้ยงแพะเนื้อ การตัดสินใจในการเลี้ยงเนื้อ และศึกษาปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการเลี้ยงแพะเนื้อของเกษตรกรอำเภอเมือง อำเภอโกสุมพิสัย อำเภอกันทรวิชัย อำเภอเชียงยืน และอำเภอกุดรัง จังหวัดมหาสารคาม จำนวน 17 ราย พบว่า เกษตรกรส่วนใหญ่เลี้ยงแพะเนื้อเพื่อผลิตลูก เป็นพันธุ์ผสม จากพ่อพันธุ์และแม่พันธุ์เป็นพันธุ์บอร์ผสมพันธุ์พื้นเมือง จำนวนพ่อพันธุ์แพะเนื้อเฉลี่ย 1.7 ตัวต่อฟาร์ม จำนวนแม่พันธุ์แพะเนื้อเฉลี่ย 13.5 ตัวต่อฟาร์ม จำนวนแพะเนื้อขุนเฉลี่ย 17.1 ตัวต่อฟาร์ม และจำนวนแพะเนื้อทั้งหมดเฉลี่ย 32.4 ตัวต่อฟาร์ม เกษตรกรจะเลี้ยงแพะเนื้อเป็นอาชีพเสริม ซึ่งเกิดความสนใจเองในการเลี้ยงแพะเนื้อ และมีรูปแบบการเลี้ยงแบบกึ่งขังกึ่งปล่อย ลักษณะโรงเรือนจะยกพื้นสูง พื้นไม้ เกษตรกรส่วนใหญ่ไม่ให้อาหารข้น อาหารหยาบให้ใบกระถินเป็นส่วนใหญ่ การจำหน่ายจะขายเป็นกิโลกรัมต่อตัว จะมีนายทุนมารับซื้อที่ฟาร์ม และผลผลิตไม่เพียงพอต่อความต้องการ ซึ่งการเลี้ยงแพะเนื้อไม่พบปัญหาต่อชุมชน และอุปสรรคการเลี้ยงแพะเนื้อของเกษตรกรคือรัฐไม่ส่งเสริมหรือไม่ได้รับการสนับสนุนจากภาครัฐ จึงมีความต้องการการส่งเสริมการสนับสนุนจากภาครัฐ เพื่อพัฒนาการเลี้ยงแพะเนื้อของเกษตรกร
