ประชากรที่ป่วยเป็นโรคไข้เลือดออกในจังหวัดมหาสารคาม
ไข้เลือดออกระบาดสารคามแล้วกว่า 300 ราย
โดยพบผู้ป่วยโรคไข้เลือดออกสะสมตั้งแต่เดือนมกราคม-สิงหาคม 2556 แล้วจำนวน 366 ราย แต่ไม่มีรายงานผู้เสียชีวิต ซึ่งยอดผู้ป่วยสูงกว่าเดือนที่ผ่านมาถึง 33 ราย
ผู้ป่วยในเดือนมกราคม 12 ราย กุมภาพันธ์ 13 ราย มีนาคม 14 ราย เมษายน 22 ราย เดือนพฤษภาคม 58 ราย มิถุนายน 113 ราย และกรกฎาคม 132 ราย กระจายในพื้นที่ 13 อำเภอทั้งจังหวัด อัตราป่วยสูงสุด 3 ลำดับแรกที่อำเภอกันทรวิชัย อำเภอเมืองมหาสารคาม และอำเภอพยัคฆภูมิพิสัย
โดยพบผู้ป่วยสูงสุดในกลุ่มอายุ 10-14 ปี รองลงมาคือกลุ่มอายุ 5-9 ขวบ และ
และกลุ่มอายุ 15-24 ปี หากผู้ป่วยมีอาการไข้สูง ปวดศีรษะ อ่อนเพลีย ซึม หน้าแดง ตัวแดง และปวดท้องรุนแรง ให้รีบนำบุตรหลานไปพบแพทย์เพื่อรับการรักษาที่ถูกต้องต่อไป
