คุณสุชาติ นาคนก ประธานเครือข่ายประชาชนต่อต้านบ่อขยะแพรกษา ได้เล่าความคืบหน้าในการจัดการด้านตดีความว่า ที่ผ่านมาได้มีการจัดตั้งคณะทำงานฟื้นฟูบ่อขยะแพรกษา ซึ่งประกอบด้วยนักวิชาการผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการฟื้นฟูบ่อขยะฝังกลบ มูลนิธิบูรณะนิเวศ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดสมุทรปราการ อบต.แพรกษา กรมควบคุมมลพิษ สิ่งแวดล้อมภาค 6 กรมส่งเสริมคุณภาพสิ่งแวดล้อม และสภาทนายความ มาร่วมกันวางแผนฟื้นฟูบ่อขยะแพรกษา จนได้แผนพื้นฟู 4 ประเด็น คือ 1.) การจัดการขยะลอยน้ำที่อยู่ที่ผิวน้ำ 2.) การจัดการน้ำเสียในบ่อขยะ 3.) การจัดการตะกอนสารเคมีที่ตกค้างอยู่ที่หน้าดิน 4.) การจัดการสิ่งแวดล้อมรอบบ่อขยะ โดยการจัดการสิ่งแวดล้อมรอบบ่อขยะจะทำการศึกษาเป็นงานวิจัยเพื่อสร้างองค์ความรู้ เนื่องจากในทางปฏิบัติจริงอาจต้องใช้งบประมาณที่สูงมาก ซึ่งในปัจจุบันยังไม่มีงบประมาณสนับสนุนที่เพียงพอสำหรับการจัดการในประเด็นนี้
