ประวัติ
พุฒิชัย เกษตรสิน มีชื่อเล่นว่า พุฒ เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 3 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2529 ที่จังหวัดราชบุรี เป็นบุตรคนที่ 4 ของครอบครัวจากบุตรชายทั้งหมด 6 คน เดิมครอบครัวประกอบอาชีพเกษตรกรรมในจังหวัดราชบุรี และเคยอยากเป็นนักฟุตบอลอาชีพก่อนที่จะเข้าสู่วงการบันเทิงโดยการชักวนของรุ่นพี่

ด้านการศึกษา
พุฒิชัยเข้าเรียนที่โรงเรียนวันทามารีอา จังหวัดราชบุรี เรียนตั้งแต่ระดับอนุบาลจนถึงชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 หลังจากนั้นก็ย้ายไปเรียนโรงเรียนประสาทรัฐประชากิจ จนจบชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ปัจจุบันจบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีจากคณะนิเทศศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสวนดุสิต

ด้านวงการบันเทิง
พุฒิชัยเริ่มต้นชีวิตในวงการบันเทิงจากการเป็นวีเจ อยู่ที่รายการ “โอไอซี” ทางช่อง 5 และจัดรายการวิทยุที่คลื่น ชิล 89.0 ในช่วงเวลาแปดโมงเช้าถึงสิบโมงเช้า

พุฒิชัยเริ่มงานการแสดงครั้งแรกในละครซิทคอมเรื่อง คู่รักต่างขั้ว ของทีวีธันเดอร์ ผู้กำกับคือ มารุต สาโรวาท พุฒิชัยเป็นดีเจที่มีผลงานโดดเด่นทั้งงานพิธีกรและการแสดง จนได้รับความสนใจจาก ปิยวดี มาลีนนท์ ผู้จัดการละครค่ายเวฟทีวี ได้ชักชวนให้เข้ามาร่วมงานแสดงกับสถานีโทรทัศน์ไทยทีวีสีช่อง 3 เป็นครั้งแรก ในละครแนวลึกลับเรื่อง จุดนัดภพ ปี 2 กับบทบาทของ ร.ต.ท.บูรพา ธาราทิพย์ หรือ หมวดบู๊

พุฒิชัยได้รับการเสนอชื่อเข้าชิงรางวัลแห่งเกียรติยศของคนบันเทิง EFM AWARDS สาขาดารายอดนิยม ประจำเดือน เมษายน พ.ศ. 2557 จากผลงานละคร “เล่ห์นางฟ้า”
