สำหรับประวัติ เต้ย พงศกร เมตตาริกานนท์ เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 25 กุมภาพันธ์ 2535 เป็นชาวอำนาจเจริญ ปัจจุบันศึกษาอยู่ชั้นปีที่ 4 คณะนิเทศศาสตร์ ภาควิชาโฆษณา มหาวิทยาลัยกรุงเทพ ส่วนเส้นทางสู่วงการบันเทิงนั้น เต้ย พงศกร ได้เข้าร่วมการประกวดโครงการ "The ldol project 2" ในสังกัด All Stars Entertainment เมื่อปี 2554 ซึ่งเป็นการประกวดหาพระเอก-นางเอกหน้าใหม่ของช่อง 3 และด้วยความหล่อ สมาร์ท กับรอยยิ้มหวาน ๆ ของหนุ่มเต้ย ก็ทำให้เขาสามารถคว้าตำแหน่ง "TOP of the idol" มาครอง และได้เป็นนักแสดงในสังกัด All Stars Entertainment ในที่สุด
