งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสมบัติของเนื้อดินสี ที่อุณหภูมิ 1,200 องศาเซลเซียส และเปรียบเทียบโทนสีซีเปียระหว่างเนื้อดินสีกับสีด้ายมาตรฐาน โดยการนำดินอำเภอสามโคก จังหวัดปทุมธานี ผสมกับดินขาว จังหวัดระนอง ด้วยระบบไลน์เบลนด์จำนวน 20 อัตราส่วนผสม เผาที่อุณหภูมิ 1,200 องศาเซลเซียส บรรยากาศออกซิเดชั่นและเปรียบเทียบโทนสีซีเปียจากด้ายมาตรฐานDMCจากการศึกษาพบว่า เนื้อดินสีมีค่าการหดตัวหลังเผาร้อยละ 11.0 - 21.0 ค่าดูดซึมน้ำร้อยละ 1.1 – 26.1 และมีสีของเนื้อดินหลังเผาจากสีน้ำตาลเข้ม จนถึงสีขาว และเมื่อนำเนื้อดินสีมาเปรียบเทียบกับกับสีด้ายมาตรฐาน DMC พบว่า เนื้อดินสีสามารถเทียบเคียงกับสีด้ายมาตรฐานได้จำนวน 12 สี จาก 13 สี แล้วเมื่อนำเนื้อดินสีมาเรียงภาพเป็นโมเสกเซรามิกพบว่า เนื้อดินสีสามารถสร้างภาพโมเสกเซรามิกได้โดยภาพมีสีใกล้เคียงกับสีภาพอ้างอิง
