ความทุกข์คืออะไร

    'ความทุกข์' จำแนกออกเป็น ๑๒ ประการ คือ

    (๑) ความเกิด เป็นทุกข์
    (๒) ความแก่ เป็นทุกข์
    (๓) ความตาย เป็นทุกข์
    (๔) ความโศก เป็นทุกข์
    (๕) ความคร่ำครวญ เป็นทุกข์
    (๖) ความไม่สบายกาย เป็นทุกข์
    (๗) ความเสียใจ เป็นทุกข์
    (๘) ความคับแค้นใจ เป็นทุกข์
    (๙) การต้องประสบสิ่งที่ไม่เป็นที่รัก เป็นทุกข์
    (๑๐)การพลัดพรากจากสิ่งที่เป็นที่รัก เป็นทุกข์
    (๑๑)ปรารถนาสิ่งใดไม่ได้สิ่งนั้น ก็เป็นทุกข์
    (๑๒)ว่าโดยย่อ มีกายกับใจ ทำให้เกิดทุกข์
