การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบการค้าที่เป็นธรรม ความคิดเห็น ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อค่าจ้างแรงงานไทยในธุรกิจร้านอาหาร ตำบลปากน้ำปราณ อำเภอปราณบุรี จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ ผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลักในการวิจัยคือ แรงงานไทย 7 คน ผู้ประกอบการร้านอาหาร 3 คน โดยใช้การวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากการสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึก (In-depth Interview) และใช้การตรวจสอบสามเส้าทางด้านวิธีรวบรวมข้อมูล (Methodological Triangulation) นำมาวิเคราะห์ตีความภายใต้รูปแบบการค้าที่เป็นธรรม และคุณภาพชีวิตของแรงงานไทย
ผลการศึกษาพบว่าแรงงานไทยในธุรกิจร้านอาหารมีรูปแบบการค้าที่เป็นธรรม ประกอบด้วยองค์ประกอบหลัก 4 ด้าน คือ คน, สุขภาพ, สภาพแวดล้อม, และขบวนการนอกจากนี้ยังมีความเป็นธรรมในการตั้งอัตราค่าจ้างซึ้งสามารถรับได้ทั้งสองฝ่าย
