งานประเพณีลอยเรือชาวเล หรือ พิธีลอยเล เขเรือ มีการจัดขึ้นที่หมู่บ้านชาวเลเกาะลันตา จ.กระบี่ ปีละ 2 ครั้ง คือ ทุกวันขึ้น 13-15 ค่ำของเดือน 6 และ เดือน 11 นับเป็นงานประเพณีเก่าแก่ของชาวเลที่หาดูได้ยาก พิธีจะคล้ายกับการลอยกระทงของชาวไทย แต่จะมีการลอยเรือติดต่อกันเป็นเวลา 3 วัน 3 คืน ซึ่งชาวเลและชาวไทยใหม่จะถือเป็นการสะเดาะเคราะห์ขอความสงบสุขมาสู่หมู่บ้าน และส่งวิญญาณบรรพบุรุษไปสู่ที่สิงสถิตอันไกลโพ้น ที่ชาวเลเรียกว่า “ฆูหนิงฌีไร” โดยจะสร้างเรือด้วยไม้ระกำ และจะมีการตัดผม ตัดเล็บ และทำตุ๊กตาไม้แทนคนใส่ลงไปในเรือ แล้วนำไปลอย เพื่อเอาความทุกข์โศก และเคราะห์ร้ายต่างๆ ออกไปกับทะเล
