สิ่งที่ต้องมีในการเขียนบันทึกเหตุการณ์ คือ
๑. วัน เดือน ปี ที่บันทึก
๒. แหล่งที่มาของเรื่องราวทีได้พบเห็นมา
๓. เรื่องราวที่พบเห็นมา โดยสรุปย่อสาระสำคัญด้วยสำนวนภาษาของตน ซึ่งอาจจะเเสดงข้อคิดเห็นด้วย
