The article offers information on how modern spas make a difference and save money through adopting a variety of innovative environmental initiatives such as green measures that save water and energy. According to spa director Travis Anderson at Lantana Spa, the simple act of reviewing treatment protocols and decreasing the number of towels used in some services minimized the spa's laundry costs. The priority to reduce carbon footprint is also discussed.
