วัดร่องขุ่น ตั้งอยู่ที่ตำบลป่าอ้อดอนชัย อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดเชียงราย ถือเป็นศาสนสถานที่สำคัญแห่งหนึ่งของจังหวัดเชียงราย เป็นผลงานการออกแบบและก่อสร้างโดย อาจารย์เฉลิมชัย โฆษิตพิพัฒน์ จิตรกรไทยที่มีผลงานจิตรกรรมไทยหลากหลาย จนได้รับการยกย่องขึ้นเป็น ศิลปินแห่งชาติ สาขาทัศนศิลป์ (จิตรกรรม) ในปี พ.ศ. 2554 ผู้ซึ่งอุทิศตนสร้างวัดวัดร่องขุ่นอันยิ่งใหญ่นี้ขึ้นเพื่อถวายเป็นพุทธบูชา ด้วยความตั้งใจที่จะสร้างสรรค์ให้วัดแห่งนี้งดงามดังสวรรค์ที่มีอยู่จริง อีกทั้งมนุษย์สามารถสัมผัสได้บนพื้นพิภพ คล้ายเป็นสิ่งกระตุ้นเตือนให้คนเราใฝ่ปฏิบัติธรรม และประกอบแต่กรรมดีในการดำเนินชีวิต

การเดินทาง : ถ้ามาจากกรุงเทพฯ ใช้ถนนสายเชียงราย – กรุงเทพฯ ผ่าน จ.พะเยา ผ่าน อ.แม่ใจ จ.พะเยา เข้า อ.พาน จ.เชียงราย ขับรถมุ่งหน้าไปทาง จ.เชียงรายเรื่อยๆ พอออกจากตัว อ.พาน จะข้ามสพานแม่ลาว (แม่น้ำลาว) ขับรถไปซักพักจะถึงแยกปากทางแม่สรวย (แยกไป อ.แม่สรวย และไป จ.เชียงใหม่) ขับรถต่อไปอีกซักประมาณ 10 ก.ม ก่อนจะถึงแยกขุนกรณ์ (ทางไปน้ำตกขุนกรณ์) ประมาณ 200 เมตร ถ้ามองดูทางด้านซ้ายมือ จะเห็นตัววัดสีขาวสะดุดตายิ่งนัก เมื่อถึงทางแยกให้เลี้ยวซ้ายไปทางน้ำตกขุนกรณ์ วัดร่องขุ่นจะอยู่เข้าไปประมาณ 100 เมตร ซึ่งวัดร่องขุ่นจะอยู่ก่อนถึงตัวเมืองเชียงราย13 ก.ม ตรงหลัก ก.ม ที่ 816 ถนนพลหลโยธิน
