ปริญญานิพนธ์นี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระบบการบำรุงรักษาแบบทวีผลที่ทุกมีส่วนร่วมและหาแนวทางการพัฒนาไปสู่กระบวนการทำ TPM ของโรงงานผลิตเม็ดพลาสติกกรณีศึกษา โดยได้ทำการศึกษาระบบการทำงานในแผนกการผลิตแบบใช้น้ำเป็นตัวตัด ผลการศึกษาพบว่าในแผนกการผลิตได้มีการทำกิจกรรมของ TPM แล้ว 3 กิจกรรม ตามหลักของ 8 เสาหลักของ TPM ได้แก่ 1) ด้านการจัดการความปลอดภัยและสภาพแวดล้อมในการทำงาน 2) ด้านการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพสายสำนักงาน และ 3) ด้านการวางแผนการบำรุงรักษา ดังนั้น ในปริญญานิพนธ์นี้ ได้ศึกษาและพัฒนาแนวทางการปฏิบัติเพื่อนำไปสู่ TPM ในอีก 5 ส่วน ได้แก่ 1) การให้การศึกษาและการฝึกอบรม 2) การบำรุงรักษาด้วยตนเอง 3) การปรับปรุงเฉพาะเรื่อง 4) การบำรุงรักษาเชิงคุณภาพ5)การควบคุมขั้นต้น นอกจากนี้ได้กำหนดเกณฑ์การประเมินเพื่อการพัฒนากระบวนการ TPM ของโรงงานกรณีศึกษาที่สามารถประยุกต์ใช้ในการให้คะแนนเพื่อรับรางวัลและยกระดับโรงงานสู่มาตรฐานสากลแต่อย่างไรก็ตาม พบว่า ยังมีสิ่งที่ควรทำการพัฒนาเพิ่มเติม คือ การสำรวจความคิดเห็นเพื่อรับฟังข้อเสนอแนะในการทำกิจกรรมเพื่อนำไปสู่การพัฒนาทักษะการทำงานภายในโรงงานต่อไป
