3) ให้ความคิด
นอก จากความรู้ที่ครูจะต้องถ่ายทอดให้แก่ศิษย์โดยไม่ปิดบังแล้ว ครูจะต้องให้ความคิดแก่ศิษย์ด้วย คือให้ศิษย์คิดเป็น ทำเป็น และแก้ปัญหาเป็น รวมทั้งสามารถนำความรู้ไปขยายต่อ หรือนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในภาวะต่างๆได้ ครูจึงไม่ใช่ครูสอนหนังสือ แต่เป็น ครูสอนคนและสอนคนให้เป็นมนุษย์ ที่ได้รับการพัฒนา
4) ให้ชีวิต
ครู เป็นผู้ให้ชีวิต ในที่นี้หมายถึง ให้จิตวิญญาณ และอุดมการณ์ ซึ่งเป็นสารัดถะสำคัญของชีวิต นักเรียน นักศึกษาหลายคนที่ประสบความสำเร็จอันเนื่องมาจากมีครูที่ให้อุดมการณ์ และให้จิตวิญญาณแก่ศิษย์ จนสามารถยึดเป็นหลักในการต่อสู้ และฝ่าฟันอุปสรรคต่างๆของชีวิตได้
5) ให้กำลังใจ
ครู ต้องเป็นผู้ให้กำลังใจศิษย์ โดยเฉพาะเมื่อศิษย์เกิดความเบื่อหน่าย ความท้อแท้ หรือหมดหวัง การให้กำลังใจเป็นสิ่งสำคัญที่ครูไม่ควรมองข้าม กำลังใจเปรียบเหมือนยาหอมที่ชโลมใจให้รู้สึกสดชื่นอยู่เสมอ ศิษย์หลายคนที่เคยท้อแท้ในชีวิต แต่เมื่อได้กำลังใจจากครูก็กลับฮึดสู้จนประสบความสำเร็จได้

ครู มิใช่เป็นผู้เติมเต็มเฉพาะความรู้เท่านั้นแต่ครูจะต้องเติมเต็มประสบการณ์ให้แก่ศิษย์ด้วย ประสบการณ์ที่ครูถ่ายทอดให้แก่ศิษย์จะเป็นประโยชน์อย่างมาก และอาจมากกว่าความรู้ด้วยซ้ำไป ครูจึงไม่ควรหวงประสบการณ์ แต่ควรเติมในส่วนที่ศิษย์ยังขาดอยู่ และศิษย์ก็มีส่วนช่วยเติมในส่วนที่ครูขาดอยู่เช่นเดียวกัน
3) เติมเต็มสติปัญญา
ครู ได้ชื่อว่าเป็นผู้จุดประกายสติปัญญาให้แก่ศิษย์ ให้ศิษย์คิดเป็น ทำเป็น และรู้จักใช้สติปัญญาไปในทางที่ถูกต้อง และครูยังได้ชื่อว่าเป็นผู้เติมเต็มสติปัญญาให้แก่ศิษย์อีกด้วย เนื่องจากพัฒนาการของสติปัญญานั้นจำต้องอาศัยแบบฝึกหัดต่างๆจากครู เพื่อสติปัญญาจะได้รับการพัฒนาไปสู่จุดที่สมบูรณ์ และสุกงอมที่สุด

ความเมตตาเป็นคุณธรรมที่สำคัญอีกประการหนึ่งของครูที่จะขาดเสียมิได้ ครูที่สอนศิษย์ด้วยความเมตตาจะอยู่ในดวงใจของศิษย์ทุกคน
