การศึกษาครั้งนี้ เป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ เพื่อศึกษาความชอบของสัตว์เลี้ยงโดยมีขั้นตอนการดำเนินงานดังนี้

๑. กำหนด ประชากรและกลุ่มตัวอย่าง
๒. สร้าง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย
๓. กำหนดวิธีการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล
๔. กำหนดสถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล

ประชากรและกลุ่มตัวอย่าง

๑. ประชากรที่ใช้ในการศึกษา คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4/4 และนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5/5 โรงเรียนกาญจนานุเคราะห์
๒. กลุ่มตัวอย่าง
๒.๑ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4/4 จำนวน 29 คน
๒.๒ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5/5 จำนวน 38 คน

เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย

๑. แบบสอบถาม เพื่อเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างกลุ่มที่ ๑ และกลุ่มที่ 2 มีลักษณะดังนี้
