หลักฐานประกอบคำขอรับใบอนุญาตขับรถชั่วคราว (1 ปี) หรือ คำขอใบอนุญาตขับรถยนต์ส่วนบุคคล (5 ปี)

1. ในกรณีผู้ขอเป็นคนต่างด้าวตามกฎหมายว่าด้วยคนเข้าเมือง ต้องมิใช่เป็นผู้ได้รับอนุญาตให้เข้ามาเพื่อการท่องเที่ยว การเล่นกีฬา หรือการเดินทางผ่านราชอาณาจักร

2 ในกรณีผู้ขอเป็นคนต่างด้าวตามกฎหมายว่าด้วยคนเข้าเมือง ให้ยื่นใบสำคัญประจำตัวคนต่างด้าวหรือหนังสือเดินทาง หรือเอกสารที่ใช้แทนหนังสือเดินทาง พร้อมด้วยภาพถ่าย

3. สำหรับคนต่างด้าว ให้ยื่นใบสำคัญถิ่นที่อยู่ตามกฎหมายว่าด้วยคนเข้าเมือง หรือใบอนุญาตทำงานตามกฎหมายว่าด้วยการทำงานของคนต่างด้าว (WORK PERMIT) ซึ่งยังไม่สิ้นอายุ พร้อมด้วยภาพถ่าย หรือหลักฐานแสดงที่พักอาศัยในราชอาณาจักรที่ทางราชการหรือหน่วยงานของรัฐบาลต่างประเทศหรือองค์การระหว่างประเทศออกให้ แต่ต้องออกก่อนวันยื่นคำขอไม่เกิน 1 ปี

4. ใบรับรองแพทย์แสดงว่าผู้ขอไม่มีโรคประจำตัวอันอาจเป็นอันตรายขณะขับรถ และไม่เป็นบุคคลวิกลจริตหรือจิตฟั่นเฟือน ซึ่งมีอายุใช้ได้ตามที่แพทย์ผู้รับรองกำหนด แต่ต้องออกก่อนวันยื่นคำขอไม่เกิน 1 เดือน

5. รูปถ่ายจำนวน 2 รูป ซึ่งเป็นรูปถ่ายครึ่งตัวหน้าตรง ไม่เคลือบกันน้ำ ไม่สวมหมวกหรือแว่นตาสีเข้ม และไม่ใส่ผ้าคลุมใบหน้าหรือผ้าโพกศีรษะ เว้นแต่ผู้มีความจำเป็นตามศาสนา นิกายของศาสนา หรือลัทธินิยมของศาสนาของตนซึ่งถ่ายก่อนวันยื่นคำขอไม่เกิน 6 เดือน

ถ้าผู้ขอรับใบอนุญาตขับรถมีใบอนุญาตขับรถดังต่อไปนี้ ให้นำมาด้วย พร้อมภาพถ่าย เพื่อจะได้รับสิทธิ์ยกเว้นการทดสอบบางประการดังนี้
- ใบอนุญาตเป็นผู้ขับรถตามกฎหมายว่าด้วยการขนส่งทางบกซึ่งยังไม่สิ้นอายุ พร้อมด้วยภาพถ่าย
- ใบอนุญาตขับรถตามความตกลงระหว่างประเทศที่ประเทศไทยเป็นภาคี ซึ่งยังไม่สิ้นอายุ พร้อมด้วยภาพถ่าย
- ใบอนุญาตขับรถของรถประเภทเดียวกันกับที่ขอรับใบอนุญาตซึ่งรัฐบาลของประเทศอื่นออกให ซึ่งยังไม่สิ้นอายุ พร้อมด้วยภาพถ่าย

ในกรณีใบอนุญาตขับรถมิได้มีข้อความเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ ให้สถานทูตแห่งประเทศผู้ขอรับใบอนุญาตขับรถแปลหรือจัดทำเอกสารรับรองใบอนุญาตขับรถเป็นภาษาไทยหรือภาษาอังกฤษ ภาษาใดภาษาหนึ่ง หรือทั้งสองภาษารวมกัน

ขั้นตอนการดำเนินการ

2. ทดสอบสมรรถภาพของร่างกาย
3. เข้ารับการอบรมโดยใช้เวลาอบรม 2 ชั่วโมงเพื่อให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับกฎหมายจราาจรทางบก , กฎหมายว่าด้วยรถยนต์และการขับรถที่ถูกต้องปลอดภัย รอบเช้า 09.00 น. รอบบ่าย 13.30 น.
4. เข้ารับการทดสอบสมรรถภาพของร่างกาย
5. เข้ารับการทดสอบข้อเขียนเกี่ยวกับข้อบังคับในการเดินรถ
6. เข้ารับการทดสอบขับรถ
7. เสียค่าธรรมเนียมคำขอและค่าธรรมเนียมใบอนุญาตขับรถ
8. รอรับใบอนุญาต
