กลุ่มประเทศอาเซียนแบ่งออกเป็น 3 กลุ่ม นั่นคือ 1) กลุ่มลุ่มแม่น้ำโขง ได้แก่ ประเทศพม่า ไทย ลาว กัมพูชา เวียดนาม 2) กลุ่มโซนทางใต้ ได้แก่ ประเทศมาเลเซีย อินโดนีเซีย บรูไน สิงคโปร์ 3) กลุ่มสุดท้ายเป็น ประเทศฟิลิปปินส์
