2.1 ความมายของโมเดล
คำว่า “โมเดล” เป็นคำที่ใช้เพื่อสื่อความหมายหลายอย่าง ซึ่งทั่วไปแล้วโมเดลจะหมายถึงสิ่งหรือวิธีการดำเนินงานที่เป็นต้นแบบอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่ง เช่น แบบจำลองสิ่งก่อสร้าง รูปแบบในการพัฒนาชนบท เป็นต้น แต่โดยสรุปแล้วโมเดลจะมี 3 ลักษณะ คือ
1. Model หมายถึง สิ่งซึ่งเป็นแบบย่อส่วนของจริง ซึ่งเท่ากับ แบบจำลอง
2. Model หมายถึง สิ่งของหรือคนที่นำมาใช้เป็นแบบอย่างในการดำเนินการบางอย่าง เช่น ครูต้นแบบ
3. Model หมายถึง รุ่นของผลิตภัณฑ์ต่างๆ
จากความหมายทั้งหมดสรุปได้ว่า สิ่งที่สร้างหรือพัฒนาขึ้นจากแนวคิด ทฤษฎีที่ได้ศึกษามาของผู้สร้างเอง เพื่อถ่ายทอดความสัมพันธ์ขององค์ประกอบ โดยใช้สื่อที่ทำให้เข้าใจได้ง่ายและกระชับถูกต้อง และสามารถตรวจสอบเปรียบเทียบกับปรากฎการณ์จริงได้เพื่อช่วยให้ตนเองและคนอื่นสามารถเข้าใจได้ชัดเจนขึ้น
