จากปัญหาข้างต้น การจัดการความรู้จึงเป็นเครื่องมือที่สำคัญในการจัดการความรู้เรื่องการปฏิบัติทักษะระนาดเอกให้มีประสิทธิภาพและประสิทธิผล และยังเป็นเครื่องมือสำคัญในการกำจัดความไม่รู้ออกไป โดยนำความรู้ที่ซ่อนเร้นของบรมครูหรือผู้เชี่ยวชาญทั้งหลายซึ่งเป็นความรู้ที่ผู้อื่นมองไม่เห็นนำออกมาเป็นความรู้ที่ชัดแจ้ง โดยความรู้ดังกล่าวเกิดการเปลี่ยนสถานะระหว่างกันได้ตลอด ขึ้นอยู่กับโอกาสและสถานการณ์ ซึ่งสิ่งนี้เองจะเป็นตัวทำให้เกิดความรู้ใหม่ๆขึ้น กระบวนการดังกล่าวเรียกว่า เกลียวความรู้ (Knowledge Spiral) หรือ SECI Model ของ Ikujiro Nonaka และ Takeuchi โดยแบ่งออกเป็น การแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ (Socialization) การถอดหรือการแปลความรู้ (Externalization) การรวบรวมผสมผสานความรู้ (Combination) และการประมวลความรู้ (Internalization) นอกจากนี้ยังมีกระบวนการจัดการความรู้ซึ่งแบ่งออกเป็น 4 ขั้นตอน โดยกระบวนการย่อยมีความสัมพันธ์กันแบบเครือข่าย ประกอบไปด้วย 1.การเสาะแสวงหาความรู้ 2.การพัฒนาความรู้ 3.การทดสอบและประเมินความรู้ 4.การถ่ายทอดและแบ่งปันความรู้ ซึ่งกระบวนการดังกล่าวจะก่อให้เกิด“นวัตกรรม” อันเป็นผลลัพธ์ของการจัดการความรู้ในที่สุด (พรรณี สวนเพลง, 2552)
ดังนั้นผู้วิจัยจึงมีความสนใจที่จะทำวิจัยเกี่ยวกับการจัดการความรู้การปฏิบัติทักษะระนาดเอกเพื่อแก้ปัญหาดังกล่าวข้างต้น โดยการนำเทคโนโลยีสื่อคอมพิวเตอร์มัลติเมียเดีย มาช่วยในการจัดการความรู้ที่ได้จากการรวบรวมและพัฒนาองค์ความรู้ที่มีอยู่อย่างกระจัดกระจายให้เป็นระบบมากขึ้น ทำให้ผู้ที่สนใจสามารถนำความรู้ที่ได้ไปพัฒนาตนเองได้อย่างสะดวกและมีประสิทธิภาพ โดยคาดหวังว่าในท้ายที่สุดจะได้ความรู้และวิธีการใหม่ๆ ในการฝึกปฏิบัติทักษะระนาดเอก เพื่อเป็นต้นแบบหรือแนวทางสำหรับนำไปประยุกต์ใช้กับเครื่องดนตรีชนิดอื่นๆ ได้ และจะใช้เทคโนโลยีเครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์เพื่อเป็นตัวช่วยในการรวบรวมและเผยแพร่องค์ความรู้ที่ได้มาในที่สุด
