โครงการออกแบบภาพประกอบหนังสือวรรณกรรมเยาวชน เรื่อง ปาฏิหาริย์แห่งวาฬ เป็นการนำเสนอผลงานภาพประกอบหนังสือ ขนาด 5 x 7.5 นิ้ว 1 เล่ม จำนวน 162 หน้าออกแบบเพื่อพัฒนาทักษะการออกแบบภาพประกอบสำหรับวรรณกรรมเยาวชนและการออกแบบหนังสือ ให้กับผู้ที่สนใจและรักการอ่าน สามารถอ่านแล้วเข้าใจง่ายยิ่งขึ้น โดยผู้ศึกษาได้ดำเนินงานค้นคว้าข้อมูลที่เกี่ยวข้อง ทั้งภาคทฤษฏี และภาคปฏิบัติ
ผู้ศึกษานำทฤษฎีมาวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลและภาคสนามโดยการใช้แบบสอบถาม มาปรับปรุงแก้ไข ออกแบบ สร้างแนวความคิด ร่างภาพ และออกแบบหนังสือภาพประกอบวรรณกรรมเยาวชน เรื่อง ปาฏิหาริย์แห่งวาฬ จากนั้นก็ดำเนินการ สร้างภาพต้นฉบับของภาพประกอบพร้อมตกแต่งภาพให้สมบูรณ์ด้วยการลงสีน้ำ
