การประยุกต์ใช้โซเชียลมีเดียในการจัดการเรียนการสอน
ปัจจุบันกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ มอบหมายให้ สำนักเทคโนโลยีเพื่อการเรียนการสอน ดำเนินการจัดอบรมเพื่อกระตุ้นให้ครูไทย พัฒนาศักยภาพ และส่งเสริมการใช้ Social Media ในการจัดการเรียนรู้ โดยเล็งเห็นความสำคัญในการส่งเสริม และผลักดันให้ครูสามารถนำเอาเครื่องมือออนไลน์ที่มีอยู่บนระบบเครือข่ายอินเตอร์เน็ตมาใช้ในการเรียนรู้ ให้เกิดเป็นเครือข่าย และเกิดความร่วมมือกันระหว่างครูกับครู นักเรียนกับครู และนักเรียนกับนักเรียนด้วยกัน โดยไม่มีข้อจำกัดเรื่องเวลา และสถานที่ ก่อให้เกิดการเรียนรู้แบบไม่มีที่สิ้นสุด (สำนักเทคโนโลยีเพื่อการเรียนการสอน, 2552) นับเป็นยุคเว็บ 2.0 ที่นักการเปลี่ยนแปลงของโลกในปัจจุบัน และอนาคตอย่างหลีกเลี่ยงมิได้ (Jeff Dunn, 2011)
