บทคัดย่อ
ศิลปนิพนธ์เรื่อง “ความงามของวัฒนธรรมพื้นถิ่นอีสาน” มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อไม่ให้ประชาชนคนไทยละทิ้งศิลปวัฒนธรรมประจำชาติ ข้าพเจ้าจำเป็นต้องหาหนทางอนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูศิลปวัฒนธรรมที่เสื่อมสูญและเสื่อมถอย ทั้งนี้เพื่อโน้มนำจิตใจประชาชนคนไทยให้เกิดความรักพวกพ้อง เกิดความรักถิ่นฐานบ้านเกิดเมืองนอกของตน โดยเฉพาะในท้องถิ่นชนบทหลายแห่งที่ประชาชนพากันอพยพโยกย้ายไปทำมาหากินในย่านชุมชน แทนที่จะคิดตั้งหลักแหล่งและช่วยกันสร้างความเจริญให้แก่ท้องถิ่น รวมทั้งศิลปวัฒนธรรมประจำถิ่นอันเคยมีมาให้รุ่งเรืองต่อไป และอยากทราบถึงการดำรงชีวิต การเกษตร ที่มีภูมิปัญญาท้องแฝงอยู่ เช่นการยิบจับของใกล้ตัวมาทำเป็นที่จับสัตว์ นำใบหญ้ามาทำเป็นหลังคาที่พักอาศัย ข้าพเจ้าจึงศึกษาภูมิปัญญาที่ชาญฉลาดมาดัดแปลงเพื่อสร้างผลงานที่มีกลิ่นไอของชุมชนบท นำเสนอต่อผู้คนที่ลืมถิ่นฐานบ้านเกิดให้นึกถึงวิถิอิสานกลิ่นอายของชุมชนบทตั่งแต่ปูย่าตายายมา
